
About Dr. Langan
Dr. Thomas Langan Jr. is a board certified periodontist specializing in the treatment of periodontal disease and dental implants. Dr. Langan grew up in Northeastern, PA and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Scranton, where he graduated with honors earning his bachelor of science degree in Biology and Philosophy.
Dr. Langan went on to earn his D.M.D. degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA. After finishing dental school, he continued his education at Temple University and completed a 3 year residency in Periodontics and Dental implants. He simultaneously completed a master’s degree in oral microbiology. Following residency, he became Board Certified by the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Langan currently serves as the president of the 3rd District Dental Society and as the treasurer of the Scranton District Dental Society, of which he is also a past president. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, and Pennsylvania Dental Association.
Dr. Langan strives to treat patients with compassion while using cutting edge technology and techniques to provide better clinical outcomes and patient experience. He believes in continuity of care and works closely with referring providers.
Dr. Langan resides in Clarks Summit with his wife, Kristen, and three children, Thomas, Emma and James.
